Why some women over 50 are staying single

A rising number of women over 50 shared that they’re happier staying single than getting married. They claim there is a new way that romance fits in their lives.

Author Judsen Culbreth stated in a article for Match.com that "in the past (and not too long ago at that), a woman over age 50 who was single inspired sympathy and concern from her married peers: Will she ever be able to find someone and settle down? True, even today, many unattached women in this demographic dream of hearing wedding bells. Still, a surprising number have the exact opposite attitude and think, Why the heck would I want to get married now? "

LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE: to buy or not to buy

LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE: to buy or not to buy

Having Long-term care insurance (LTCi) opens doors and options to seniors who as they age begin to need more assistance withactivities of daily living. LTCi plans provide many benefits two of which are preserving a person’s lifestyle and opening up options for how long-term health care needs will be met as they arise. Many LTCi policies cover far more than Nursing home care.

LTCi policies can:

•Limit if not eliminate family and friends of many caregiving tasks. Giving financial means to pay for professional care.

•Gives you the option to age-in-place. They can allow you to choose where you receive care. If you resorted to utilizing state programs such as Medicaid nursing home is about the only option. LTCi often cover moving into an assisted living facility.

•Help preserve assets and savings.

Educate yourself so that you can make an informed decision. Really look at the policy to ensure it covers everything you want or you do not buy it.
